Love and Life Premiere at Source Song Festival

Join us in August for an extraordinary presentation at the Source Song Festival! 🎉 Experience my Palimpsest Project inspired by Schumann’s song cycle Frauenliebe und Leben.

Delve into the journey of a woman’s love and life, as reinterpreted through the perspectives of two men: Adelbert Chamisso and Robert Schumann. 🖋️ I have utilized translations (with permission from Richard Stokes) to create fresh text through innovative erasure poetry techniques. From this new text, I have composed music that will be performed by a talented duo, integrating motifs from Schumann’s piano works that resonate through the new compositions like a palimpsest. 🎹✨
