🌧️ Make a Difference This Sunday | Raincoat Distribution & Plantation Drive | Delhi Volunteers Welcome

Join Sanskriti Youth Foundation for a meaningful day of community service as we support the people who keep our cities running—gig workers and street vendors—while also contributing to a greener Delhi through a community plantation drive.

This event combines humanitarian action with environmental stewardship, giving volunteers the opportunity to directly impact both people and the planet in a single day.

Part 2: Community Plantation Drive

🚖 Transportation: A cab will be arranged from the Raincoat Distribution venue to the Plantation Drive site for all registered volunteers.

About the Initiative

🌧️ Raincoat Distribution Drive
During the monsoon season, thousands of delivery partners, e-rickshaw drivers, street vendors, sanitation workers, and other gig workers continue working in harsh weather conditions to earn their daily livelihood. Many cannot afford proper rain protection.
Through this initiative, volunteers will distribute raincoats to these frontline workers, helping them stay dry, healthy, and safe while they continue serving our communities.

🌱 Plantation Drive
Following the distribution drive, volunteers will participate in a community plantation activity at Delhi's Central Ridge to strengthen the city's green cover and promote environmental sustainability.
The plantation drive aims to:

• Increase urban biodiversity
• Improve local air quality
• Promote climate resilience
• Encourage community participation in environmental conservation
• Inspire long-term care for planted saplings
  No prior experience is required—our team will guide all volunteers during the activity.

  Whether you can volunteer for the entire event or just one activity, your participation will make a meaningful difference.

What You'll Do

• Assist in distributing raincoats respectfully and efficiently.
• Interact with gig workers and street vendors.
• Plant and water saplings.
• Learn about urban ecology and community service.
• Meet like-minded volunteers.
• Contribute towards creating a cleaner, greener, and more compassionate city.

What to Bring

• Reusable water bottle
• Comfortable clothing
• Closed-toe shoes
• Umbrella or rain jacket (if required)
• Cap and sunscreen (weather permitting)
• Lots of positive energy!

Important Notes

• Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the reporting time.
• Wear comfortable clothes suitable for outdoor volunteering.
• Volunteers are requested to maintain dignity and respect while interacting with beneficiaries.
• Kindly avoid littering and help keep both locations clean.
• Event photographs and videos may be taken for awareness and documentation purposes.
