May Half Term: Heroes of the Air

Join us for an exciting week of hands-on fun at the RAF Museum London! Heroes of the Air invites young adventurers to explore the people, ideas, and aircraft that transformed aviation. Get ready to build, test, and fly as you discover what it takes to be an aviation hero! ✈️

What’s On This Half Term:

Three engaging activities are scheduled throughout the week, each designed to cultivate curiosity, creativity, and confidence through playful learning.

🔧 Junior Jet Builders

Future engineers will unleash their creativity using LEGO bricks to design and construct their own flying machines. Experiment with shapes, wings, and balances to create an aircraft fit for a hero of the skies!

• Sessions: 11.00am, 1.00pm, and 2.30pm
• Running: 23–26 May 2026
• Tickets: £5.00 per child
  (Adults do not need a ticket but must accompany their children.)

🚁 Remote Control Helicopter Flying

Before flying high, embark on a short scavenger hunt! Take control of a remote-control helicopter and navigate a timed course to see if you can outshine the competition and win a prize!

• Sessions: 11.00am, 1.00pm, and 2.30pm
• Running: 28–31 May 2026
• Tickets: £5.00 per child
  (Adults do not need a ticket but must accompany their children.)

✈️ Paper Plane Contest

Test your skills in this thrilling paper plane challenge! Fold, fly, and fine-tune your design to compete for the longest flight and a chance to win a prize!

• Sessions: 11.00am, 12.00pm, 2.00pm, and 3.00pm
• Running: 25–29 May 2026
• Tickets: £3.00 per child
