About moondoggy:
Formed in Collingwood, Ontario in 2019, moondoggy started from humble beginnings, playing house parties and creating bedroom recordings. In 2020, they made the move to Toronto, where they refined their live performances and matured into the vibrant band you see today. The lineup features the Matanowitsch brothers, Jakob (vocals) and Ben (saxophone/acoustic guitar), alongside Jonny Contini (lead guitar) and Victor Carrillo (drums).

On November 17, 2023, they released their debut studio album, Mad and Noisy, inspired by the dynamic landscapes of Toronto and the Hamlet of Dunedin. With a raw yet polished sound shaped by careful arrangements and songwriting, this remarkable album marks a significant milestone in their musical journey. 🎤🎸

Following the success of their first album, moondoggy is already recording their second, titled Field Notes, set to release in the fall of 2024!

With sold-out shows at legendary venues like Horseshoe Tavern and Lee’s Palace, as well as vibrant DIY events back in Collingwood, moondoggy's live performances are known for their energy and unique atmosphere. 🚀✨
