Morning Pages: Monthly Journaling Meetup & Stationery Swap (Afternoon Session)

Join us for Morning Pages, Paper Plant Co.’s monthly journaling club!

Start your day with a cozy, intimate gathering for fellow analog lovers! We meet each month in our Highland Park location to slow down, put pen to paper, and connect over a shared love of the written word.

No experience necessary! Come as you are and bring your favorite journal, a beloved pen, and an open heart.

🪄 August's theme: Ordinary Magic
Each meetup is centered around a seasonal theme and gentle prompts to inspire introspection and creativity. This month's prompts will focus on the daily wonders of life: the perfect pen, the sunlight streaming through a window on a quiet morning, or a dish that evokes a cherished memory.

What to expect:
😌 Grounding moments and community introductions
📝 Guided journaling with themed prompts and journaling supplies (washi, stickers, stamps, etc.) for your use!
💞 Optional stationery swap: Bring gently used or extra washi tape, stickers, pens, paper goods, etc. that you'd like to share or trade.

Time Slots:

• Morning: 11:00am-12:30pm
• Afternoon: 2:00-3:30pm
  Please sign up for only one time slot each month to respect your fellow journalers.

Ticket Pricing:
Because joy should be accessible to all, tickets are offered on a sliding scale:

• Community: $5 (limited to 2 spots per time slot)
• Standard: $10
• Pay It Forward: $15 (covers your spot and gifts one to a neighbor in need 🤍)
  All Standard & Pay It Forward tickets include a $5 shop voucher for in-store use the day of the event!

About your hosts:
Paper Plant Co. is an independent stationery boutique on a mission to foster an idyllic analog world—one pen, notebook, and washi tape at a time. Founded by Friedia Niimura, with roots in Los Angeles’ Chinatown and Highland Park neighborhoods, Paper Plant Co. offers a curated selection of Japanese stationery and paper goods, along with in-house designs.
