Native Arts Artists-in-Residence Gallery Talks

🌟 Join our 2026 Native Arts Artists-in-Residence: CooXooEii Black, Adrian Stevens, Sean Snyder, and Benjamin West as we celebrate their striking new installations in the Indigenous Arts of North America galleries! These innovative projects reimagine the Home/Land section of the galleries, honoring the Native Nations connected to Denver and the surrounding areas, known today as Colorado.

📅 Opening on August 1—during the 150th anniversary year of Colorado statehood—this installation pays tribute to the intricate histories and lasting presence of Indigenous communities through the insights of these four talented contemporary artists.

🕑 The artists will be present in the galleries from 2 PM to 4 PM to discuss their work. Enjoy this special opportunity during the Free Day at the Denver Art Museum, where admission is free from 10 AM to 5 PM!
