About Peter Somuah: Born and raised in Accra, Ghana, Peter discovered the trumpet at a young age and quickly became captivated by its melodic power, influenced by highlife, Afrobeat, and jazz. His musical journey has been shaped by inspirations such as Ebo Taylor, Hugh Masekela, and Miles Davis—artists who transcended genres and borders. After relocating to Rotterdam, he integrated into the city’s vibrant jazz and improvisation scene, developing his unique sound and founding his own band. His debut album Outer Space received an Edison Jazz Award, establishing him as a prominent voice in the jazz world. 🌍
