Podcast Club: The Art of Being Heard

Podcast Club: The Art of Being Heard

Om evenemanget

This event comes from my sister group, Podcast Club in Munich. I'm cross-posting it here for now, but only short-term — if you enjoy podcasts and this kind of conversation, head over and join the group so you don't miss future events there.

Ever left a conversation replaying it in your head — wondering what you could've said differently, or wishing someone had really listened?

For this relaunch, we're listening to a "Most Replayed Moment" from The Diary Of A CEO: Harvard professor Alison Wood Brooks unpacks the science of good conversation — the small habits that quietly damage how we connect, and why so many of us walk away from conversations feeling unheard.

Before we meet:
🎧 Condensed version (33 min): Most Replayed Moment: The Framework to Instantly Become Better at Conversationthis is the one to listen to before attending.

🎧 Full episode, if you want the whole picture:
Top Harvard Professor: The Psychology Of Why People Don't Like You!

Listen in your own time, before the event. Let it sit with you.

What to expect:
This isn't a discussion group — we won't be recapping what Alison said. We'll each bring what it stirred up in us. Everyone hears something different, so come with your own thread, not just the ones we might suggest on the day. A story about a conversation you still think about, a habit you've caught yourself in, a moment you felt truly heard, or the opposite — all of it belongs here.

We'll open as a full circle, first names and a first story, so we're not starting cold. Then we'll break into smaller groups, where there's more room to go as deep (or as light) as feels right for you.

A few optional prompts will be there for the small groups, if you want a starting point. You're just as welcome to bring your own thread — whatever the episode stirr
