PWAM: Read to the Dogs

Attention Parents! Please register only the children who will be reading. Non-readers and parents do not need to sign up.

Join us at Central Library for an amazing opportunity where children aged 4-12 can practice their reading skills by reading to specially trained therapy dogs, thanks to our partnership with Pets with a Mission.

📖 Program Highlights:

• This program is perfect for children who can read independently or with minimal help.
• Children not yet reading are welcome to enjoy books in the library with their caregivers.
• Upon arrival, sign in at the Children’s Desk to get in line for the program.
• Choose a book from the library or bring one from home!
• Enjoy 5-10 minutes of one-on-one reading time with a dog and as many books as time allows.
• Children waiting for their first turn will be moved to the front of the line for a chance to read again.
• Parents and siblings are kindly asked to sit quietly in the designated area or wait outside during the reading session.
