Rockaway Beach 2026 SURF & STOMP (July 11th)

🎉 Join Us for the Rockaway Swing Beach Party! 🎉

Get ready for a fabulous day of surf, sun, and swing at the legendary Rockaway Beach! 🌞 This cherished annual event returns twice this summer (July 11th & Aug 8th) with plenty of joy, music, and dancing along the iconic boardwalk. Plus, we've got a rented dance floor for both dates!

Dress Code: Don your finest vintage or retro beachwear, your coolest cruise outfits, or just come as your fabulous self! 🏖️✨

Event Details 🏖️

• Beach Hang: 12 noon to 4pm
• Social Dance: 4pm to 9pm
  Location: Beach 97th St Concession, 97-01 Shore Front Pkwy, Rockaway Park, NY 11694
• Admission: FREE (donations of at least $10 requested to support our talented musicians and cover expenses)

Itinerary Overview 🌞

• 12:00pm — Surf Hang & Lesson: Join us to paddle out! Beginners can get guidance from the crew at Skudin Surf (Beach 67th St). DM Oleg for more details on lessons.
• 1:00 to 4:00pm — Afternoon Beach Picnic at Beach 97: Chill, mingle, swim, and enjoy beach games! Bring snacks and your happy vibes!
• 4:00 to 9:00pm — Swing Dance Party at Beach 97 Concession featuring:
  • DJ ANDRIUS between band sets
  • Live Swing Band — Dance to the infectious grooves of the Rockaway All-Stars! 🎷
    • Featuring musicians like:
      • Evan Hamaguchi (reeds & vocals)
      • Michael Cruse (trumpet & vocals)
      • Luis Salceda (guitar)
      • Ian Hutchison (bass)
      • Patrick Soluri (drums)
    • Special guest singers: Kay Lewis and Svetlana Shumyliyan
  • 7:15pm — Sunset Swimsuit Revue: Celebrate with vintage beach looks organized by Michelle Coursey.
