This film explores the rich history of Tierra del Fuego, an archipelago located at the southernmost tip of South America.

It traces the journey from colonization to present day, delving into themes of disappearing cultures, deserted landscapes, and ongoing struggles. Grill's work aims to illustrate how history leaves its mark on landscapes, giving a sensory representation to the invisible forces at play.

Part of Michaela Grill's Ecological Grief Series, this documentary highlights critical perspectives on human interaction with nature in the Anthropocene, investigating the feelings of environmental melancholy and the loss of places, species, and ecosystems.
