Babettes Speakeasy Jazz Club presents: Sarah L. King

🌟 Sarah L. King is one of the most active vocalists on the British jazz scene. Based in London, this jazz singer, songwriter, and composer blends jazz, soul, disco, and funk to create her retro sound. Inspired by her father, Mike King, a bandleader and jazz trumpeter, she began her journey in soul and gospel choirs.

🎶 Her debut album, Fire Horse (2024), received critical acclaim, showcasing not only her brilliant voice but also her prowess as a songwriter and composer. King incorporates nuances from early influences like Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder into her original songs, crafting a unique jazz-hybrid sound.

📻 Her music is regularly featured on Jazz FM and BBC Radio 3. King's new album, The Light Ahead, was released on March 20, 2026.

🌍 This autumn, she will be touring Sweden with her Swedish quartet, making a stop at Babettes in Linköping!
