Background:
Hannah Ayers and Lance Warren, Emmy-winning documentary filmmakers, have been creating impactful films since 2014. Their documentary HOW THE MONUMENTS CAME DOWN was recognized as the best historical documentary of 2021 by the American Historical Association. Their film FINDING EDNA LEWIS is nominated for a 2026 James Beard Award.

Discover the life and legacy of Edna Lewis, a Virginia-born Black chef who introduced seasonal cooking to many Americans. From Freetown, Virginia, to New York City, Edna's journey is remarkable. In FINDING EDNA LEWIS, Deb Freeman explores the places where Edna made her mark, interviewing chefs, farmers, and family members influenced by her culinary approach.
