
Screen Printing Open Session
*Prerequisite: Complete the SP 101: Intro to Vera's Screen Print Studio class before attending an Open Session!*Join us at Vera’s screen print studio for excitingfour-hour Open Sessions! This is an incredible opportunity for those who have completed the introductory class to dive into their own projects using our well-equipped lab. Each session is supported by avolunteer moderatoravailable to provide advice and guidance based on what you learned in the SP 101 class.
Ticket Options:
-Vacuum Tablefor paper and flat media
-T-shirt Pressfor shirts, tote bags, and other fabrics
-Screen Prep for screen preparation only
Each ticket type is limited to two per participant. If your desired ticket is sold out, make sure to join the waitlist to be notified when it becomes available!
What We Provide:
- Rentable screens
- Emulsion and emulsion remover
- Squeegees
- Basic tools (spatulas, rulers, tape, etc.)
What to Bring:
- Your own substrate (paper, t-shirts, etc.)
- Water-based ink
Please note that Vera’s studio does not allow non-water-based inks for safety reasons.
FAQs:
- Can Vera print a transparent stencil for me?
Yes! Send your stencil as a .PDF file (max 12" x 18") at least 24 hours prior to your session. Stencils cost $5 and can be paid on arrival. - I need assistance with my project. Can moderators help?
Moderators are trained to assist with topics from the SP 101 class. For personalized help, please contact matt@theveraproject.org for private tutoring. - What if no slots are available?
Our studio is highly sought after. If you're unable to secure a spot, consider reaching out to matt@theveraproject.org to discuss private rental options.
