Join Harbor WildWatch for an exciting and educational beach walk at the breathtaking shorelines of the Salish Sea! 🌊🌟

What to Expect:
Our friendly biologists and volunteer naturalists will guide you through a hands-on exploration of the intertidal zone, where you'll discover an incredible variety of marine life! Engage in activities like:

  • Learning good beach etiquette 🏖️
  • Touching and examining creatures like sea stars, crabs, and sea anemones 🦀
  • Understanding their unique adaptations and behaviors 💡
  • Hearing about the challenges our ocean ecosystems face 🌍

This tour is suitable for all ages and skill levels — perfect for families, school groups, or anyone passionate about the natural world! Whether you're a seasoned beachcomber or a first-time visitor, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for our local marine environment.

📝 Logistics:

  • Location: 10015 Sunrise Beach Dr NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98332, USA
  • Duration: Approx. 60-90 minutes. You can leave early if needed!
  • Restrooms: Portable bathrooms available, no running water 💧
  • Parking: Park in the lot, avoiding blockages to other cars or private property 🚗
  • Training Up: Meet us on the lawn at the top of the hill near the parking area! Look for Harbor WildWatch staff in blue. If you’re late, find us on the beach down the hill!

What to Bring:

  • Closed-toe shoes (rain boots, water shoes, or old sneakers) 👟
  • Water bottle, sunscreen, layers, and a snack if desired 🍎

This program is free, but a suggested donation of $2 per person or $5 per family is appreciated.
