About: The Berlin Improvisers Orchestra (Ber.I.O.) was established by saxophonist Anna Kaluza in June 2010, with collaboration from Alison Blunt & Ricardo Tejero of the London Improvisers Orchestra. They utilize hand signals based on the conduction concept by American composer Butch Morris, which are creatively expanded upon in improvised orchestras globally.
