The exhibition Silent Heroism is an interactive exhibition through which visitors will travel into the history of the 20th century. But they won't just listen to the stories of witnesses who lived through totalitarian regimes – they will be actively involved in exploring the memories themselves, using a tablet to actively influence and shape the adventure. Not only unconventional projections, but also visual and sound effects, interactive screens and augmented reality will help them to do so.
The inspiring life stories of Jaryna and Tomas confirm that not every hero is taught in history class. The stories were selected for the exhibition from more than ten thousand interviews from the Memory of a Nation collection and have one thing in common: they both selflessly helped others through their courageous actions, despite often risking their own safety in doing so. They wanted to make life easier for those who lived through the difficult times of World War II.
The tour will introduce participants to the story of Jaryna, who, thanks to a poisonous chemical compound, saved dozens of Jews from being transported. Tomáš Sedláček will take visitors on his unusual journey through the European Second World War battlefields.
Individual tours start at fixed times. This arrangement allows visitors to enjoy the tour in an intimate atmosphere, while seamlessly transitioning between the story stops.
