🎨 ABOUT THE PROJECT:

"Tide of Consequence" comprises three painted panels embedded with microplastics and handmade paper encased in broken, uneven nets, symbolizing the detrimental impact of humans on our oceans. Growing up next to the Caribbean Sea, Lusiana witnessed the transformation of pristine waters into repositories of waste, highlighting the pervasive issue of global pollution. This work serves as an abstract representation of our current environmental crisis and a reminder of what we stand to lose.

🌿 ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Lusiana Morales Febo (b. 1999) is a talented Puerto Rican tattoo artist, sculptor, and painter residing in Savannah, GA. She holds a BFA in Painting and an MFA in Fibers from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Lusiana’s upbringing on a tropical island nurtured her love for the environment, leading her to adopt a vegan lifestyle in 2018, heightening her awareness of ecological issues. Her recent work explores her passion for nature and experimentation with discarded materials.

Having studied architecture at the University of Puerto Rico, she pursued her art journey in Savannah, where she blends her love for art, tattooing, and environmental advocacy. Lusiana envisions returning to her roots in Puerto Rico to collaborate with other artists and continue spreading her passion for art globally.
