Under the Stars 2026 - a matariki exhibition

Celebrate the spirit of Matariki through art! ✨ Join us for Under the Stars 2026, a vibrant exhibition honoring Aotearoa’s newest national holiday. This is an invitation to all Rotorua artists—both emerging and established—to showcase works that reflect, remember, and reimagine Matariki.

Throughout July and August, The Arts Village will transform into a constellation of creativity, where each gallery will shine with stories of renewal, remembrance, and connection.

Featured Exhibitions:

• Ngā Hue o Matariki — Toni-Marie Jennings’ debut solo exhibition at The Wallis.
• Works by ākonga from Mokoia Intermediate School showcased in the Cottage Gallery.
