Humans and wildlife conflict is an increasing concern in many Massachusetts towns. Animal Control Officers (ACOs) often respond to calls regarding public health issues related to injured wildlife. This course aims to educate ACOs and other interested state agencies on how to address common public inquiries and follow proper protocols for capturing and transporting wildlife.

Topics to be Covered:

  • State and Federal Regulations regarding wildlife
  • Solutions for handling public calls about human-wildlife conflicts
  • Safe capturing and transport techniques
  • Rabies and public health concerns
