Women in Cleantech and Sustainability Barcelona Chapter Launch

Barcelona is becoming an increasingly important hub for climate innovation, energy transition, sustainability, and resilient urban development. As more founders, investors, operators, researchers, and ecosystem builders work on these challenges, there is a clear opportunity to create a stronger local community for women active in the sector.
This launch gathering will introduce the WCS Barcelona community and bring together women working across climate tech, cleantech, sustainability, energy, circular economy, investment, innovation, and policy. The event will be an informal but high-quality networking evening designed to help attendees meet relevant peers, exchange ideas, and help shape the direction of the new Barcelona chapter.
The event will be hosted by Elaine Salvador, Founder of Verana Ventures and Barcelona Chapter Lead for Women in Cleantech & Sustainability. Verana Ventures is supporting the launch as co-host and sponsor, helping bring together Barcelona’s climate and energy-transition ecosystem while contributing €300 to support WCS operational costs and any attendance shortfall against the venue minimum.

Elaine Salvador is the Founder of Verana Ventures, a specialist advisory platform focused on climate tech, energy-grid technology, industrial decarbonization, and climate resilience. She has over 12 years of experience across investment banking, private equity, venture building, renewables, and energy transition, including roles at Lazard, Stifel, Lightsource BP and H.I.G. Capital.
Elaine is building the WCS Barcelona chapter to create a high-quality local community for women working across climate, sustainability, energy transition, investment, innovation and ecosystem building.
