YU Grupa Stockholm Stadsteatern/Hörsalen 30/10

🎶 YU Grupa was established in Autumn 1970 by brothers Dragi (vocals, guitar) and Žika Jelić (bass guitar), who were previously part of the band Džentlmeni. The band also includes Miodrag Okrugić (organ) and Velibor Bogdanović (drums). Initially, they went by the name Idejni Posed (Notional Property), a name suggested by Kornelije Kovač of Korni Grupa. 🎤
In November 1970, during a concert at Sinagoga club in Zemun, disc jockey Zoran Modli invited the audience to propose a name, leading to the birth of YU Grupa, a name suggested by young Miroslav Stanivuk. 🥳
To honor their name, the band continues to celebrate their birthday concerts on November 29, the anniversary of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia's declaration.
