Ze Šmukýřky na Cibulku

Join us on a journey back to a time when Košíře was a wine-growing region dotted with farmsteads. We’ll look back at the history of the Šmukýřka settlement, explore the various buildings – including the Chapel of St Prokop – and reveal how the place is linked to Mikoláš Aleš. From there, we’ll head to the Cibulka estate, which over the centuries has become a romantic manor house with a woodland park. We’ll find out who Blažej Cibulka was and how Bishop Leopold Linhart Thun-Hohenstein transformed the site. We’ll also look at the present day, which links the spiritual legacy of the former owner with Cibulka’s current role as a centre for paediatric palliative care.
