Join us for an immersive Sculpture Workshop led by the talented Katerina Sokolovskaya! 🌟 In this hands-on session, participants will delve into the world of sculpture using plaster and mixed media techniques. Explore the interplay of touch, texture, and material transformation as you create forms inspired by personal memories and everyday experiences.
🔍 What to Expect:
- Create sculptural objects through casting, layering, and experimentation.
- Develop pieces that hold traces of gestures, time, and your unique stories.
- No previous experience required!
- Limited to 10 participants—advance registration is essential. If the workshop is full, join the waitlist!
✨ Participants Are Encouraged to Bring:
- 1–3 small objects connected to personal memories
- Photographs, letters, fabrics, or other meaningful materials
- Clothes suitable for working with plaster

Katerina Sokolovskaya, our NWNY Artist-in-Residence, specializes in creating sculptural installations that explore transformation and embodied memory. 🚢 Getting to Governors Island:
- Ferry Locations: Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn Bridge Park (Pier 6), or Red Hook/Atlantic Basin

Located at 410A, Colonels Row. After disembarking the ferry, walk toward the QC Spa—our house is the first on the left.

Explore various artist residency spaces and events! Don’t forget your reusable water bottle, as water refill stations are available throughout the island. Enjoy several restaurants and beautiful green areas perfect for relaxation and picnics. Feel free to bring your own snacks too!
