5 Mile Hike

🌳 Join us for our exciting monthly 5-Mile Hike at Phil Hardberger Park! 🌳

Grab a friend and hit the trails with us! This moderate-level hike covers roughly 5 miles along the stunning perimeter trails, featuring unique attractions like the Skywalk, the Robert L.B. Tobin Land Bridge, and highlights such as:

• Savanna Restoration Area 🌿
• Wetland Corner 💧
• Nature Play Area 🧒
• Native Plant Wildscape Demonstration Garden 🌼
• Golden Age Art Installation 🎨
• Salado Creek Overlook 🌅
• Borrow Pit 🌍
• Phil's Tree 🌳

Expect a variety of walking paths that will take approximately two hours, but this may vary depending on the pace of our group. 💧 Participants should wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes, dress appropriately for the weather, and bring water to stay hydrated.

We'll take a break at the Urban Ecology Center, halfway through, for a quick water refill and restroom stop. 🏞️ Please note that this event is designed for adults and teens who can comfortably walk 5+ miles on both paved and natural trails.

Important: The group will depart promptly at 8:00 AM, so please arrive on time! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ Registration is encouraged but not mandatory. Remember, this event is weather permitting and the route may change based on trail conditions.
