Join us on May 5th, 2026, as we gather for the 6th Annual National MMIWG2S+ Walk for Justice and Healing at the Oodena Celebration Circle, The Forks, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This event is Federally recognized as National Red Dress Day, dedicated to raising awareness about the crisis facing MMIWG2S+ individuals across Canada.

We warmly welcome Relatives, Allies, and Newcomers to this inclusive, family-friendly gathering. Each year, we unite people from around the globe to affirm our commitment to the implementation of the 231 Calls for Justice. 🌍❤️

What to Expect:

• 5:30 PM - Sacred Fire Lighting 🔥
• 5:45 PM - Opening Drum Songs by Binesi Ikwéwag Singers 🎶
• Prayer led by Community Knowledge Sharer Gayle Pruden
• 6:00 PM - Opening Remarks & Speeches 🗣️
• 7:00 PM - Walk from Oodena Celebration Circle to Memorial Provincial Park 🚶
• 8:00 PM (or upon arrival) - Round Dance, drumming, singing, and community time 💃

Let’s strive to gather 5000 relatives on this meaningful day, celebrating community bonds and supporting those left behind. We invite Jingle Dress Dancers, Drummers, and Singers to share your gifts and medicine. 🍃
