Newhvn formed in 2025 in Liverpool, UK, and they blend rock, alternative rock, and grunge into a genre-defying sound. Emerging from the remnants of a post-rock band, newhvn combined their roots with influences from shoegaze and post-hardcore.

After touring globally and releasing two albums as their previous project A Burial at Sea, newhvn boasts years of experience on the road, having built a fanbase across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and Asia. They have shared the stage with notable bands such as And So I Watch You From Afar, The Ocean, and This Will Destroy You, and have performed at festivals including ArcTanGent (UK), Post in Paris (France), Bergmal (Sweden), and Dunk (Belgium).

With a desire to break away from their post-rock sound, the remnants of A Burial at Sea visited Black Bay Studios on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland, where newhvn was born. Drawing inspiration from Pinegrove and Cloakroom alongside their post-rock background, they have crafted a collection of 10 songs set to be released in 2026.
