Alvalade: Fortnightly FastForest® Meetup

🇬🇧 Our little plants need extra care as they settle into their new home. Join us for a fun-filled day of mulching, weeding, and watering at our charming mini-forest in Alvalade with fellow members of the Urbem tribe!

Why Join Us? This is a fantastic chance to connect with your community, discover native Portuguese plant species, and help foster a greener Lisbon. The whole family is welcome!

Moreover, getting your hands dirty can boost your mood. Studies suggest that the microorganisms found in soil can enhance the release of serotonin—the "happiness hormone"—in our brains. Come and soak up your free dose of nature-infused joy!

What We Will Be Doing
Our activities change with the seasons, but generally include:

• Nurturing: Watering and nourishing young trees.
• Maintenance: Pruning and weeding to support healthy growth.
• Biodiversity: Removing invasive species to create space for our native plants.

Event Details

• When: Every other Saturday from 10:00 to 13:00.
• Meeting Point: Rua Alfredo Mesquita
• What to Bring: A reusable water bottle, clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, sturdy shoes/boots, and sun protection.
• What We Provide: All essential gloves, tools, and loads of positive energy!
