A.Paul, born in Lisbon in 1971, is a leading figure in global techno. Influenced early by disco, funk, and electro, he began his career in 1986 and quickly rose from local residencies to international recognition. His breakthrough track “Juice” established him as a powerful presence in the techno scene, and he went on to play a key role in shaping Portugal’s underground movement through landmark projects, record labels, and his involvement with top DJ agency X-Club.

Voted Best Portuguese Techno DJ three years in a row (2000–2002), A.Paul expanded internationally, focusing on production and entrepreneurship. He founded Naked Lunch Records in 2005, which grew into a globally respected techno brand, including events, a podcast, and an agency.

With over 100 vinyl releases, remixes for major artists, and performances at premier festivals like Awakenings and Nature One, as well as iconic clubs such as Tresor and Fabrik, A.Paul has built a legacy defined by innovation, consistency, and a commanding, groove-driven sound.
