About the Artist
Since his 2009 solo debut at Carnegie Hall, the Colombian-born Nilko Andreas has gained international acclaim as an award-winning classical guitarist, composer, music director, singer, and actor. A versatile artist, he performs across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, showcasing his skills as a soloist with orchestras, chamber musician, and reciter, while maintaining a significant artistic presence in New York City.
Dedicated to Latin American music, Nilko has promoted contemporary composers, launched an ongoing concert series focused on this repertoire, and premiered numerous new works. His artistic endeavors span concert music, film, theater, and dance, with his performances highlighted by major media in the United States and Latin America. An enthusiastic educator and lecturer at top institutions worldwide, he also shines as a stage performer, intertwining classical music, theater, and original productions.
