🔆 Join us for a spectacular concert featuring the world premiere of Ancient Dances in Modern Times by Highsmith Award winner Pierre Fontaine. The Highsmith Award, endowed by Jim Highsmith, is the Conservatory’s prestigious composition prize.
📜 Experience Maurice Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin, renowned for its six movements inspired by traditional dance forms from the French Baroque suite: Prélude, Forlane, Menuet, Rigaudon, and Toccata, dedicated to Ravel's friends lost during the First World War.
🌊 Jean Sibelius wrote The Oceanides during his sole trip to the United States in 1914. Also, his Violin Concerto is beloved for its emotional depth and technical demands, cherished by violinists around the world.
