Birdwatching Trek: Old Cedar Ave

Join naturalist Craig Mandel for an exciting birdwatching walk at the Old Cedar Avenue Refuge! Discover over 100 species of birds that inhabit this special area, many of which migrate and nest here at different times of the year. 🌍✨

What to Expect:

• Length: 1-2 miles total
• Difficulty: Easy and slow moving, with plenty of breaks
• Attire: Comfortable clothing and boots suitable for muddy or rainy conditions.
• Gear: Bring your binoculars and field guides if you have them. Spotting scopes will be available for all to use. 🔭

Accessibility:

• Restrooms and water fountains are seasonally available, with accessible parking near the site.
• Paths may not always be suitable for strollers and wheelchairs, with some steep inclines and declines.
• Trailhead is a short walk (<0.1 miles) from the parking lot.
