About Cécile McLorin Salvant:
With roots in Haiti and France, Cécile started learning piano at five and classical singing at eight. She further honed her skills in baroque music and improvisation in France. Influenced by jazz legends like Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald, she released her debut solo album in 2010 and has since produced eight albums, winning accolades along the way.
