Club EKKO

A new Club EKKO, lovingly selected by us for your (and our own) dancing pleasure. This time in celebration of EKKO’s 40th anniversary featuring John Talabot and Lyrae.

John Talabot occupies a unique place in the electronic music landscape. With a broad yet distinctive artistic vision, he moves effortlessly between major festival stages and intimate club spaces. He’s no stranger at Club EKKO: during Koningsnacht in 2022 he already played a memorable set at the Bemuurde Weerd. Now, four years later, he returns to celebrate EKKO’s fortieth birthday with us in style.

As a DJ, Talabot is known for sets that strike a balance between effectiveness, risk, and discovery. Beyond the booth, he continues to explore new ground through collaborations and projects, such as his duo Talaboman with Axel Boman and Lost Scripts with Pional. Through his label Hivern Discs and curatorial work at festivals like Primavera Sound, he also keeps bringing together new music and ideas.

Opening the night is Utrecht-based DJ Lyrae. She builds her sets from a strong desire to spark emotion and guide people through a shared, yet personal, experience on the dancefloor. With a foundation in progressive house, she blends hypnotic rhythms, dreamy builds, and influences from progressive trance and breakbeat into what she likes to describe as “interstellar journeys.”
