Saddle up for an unforgettable day with the Arts of the Pamlico as we present our inaugural Cowboy 5K Ramble Run & Rhythm! This western-themed outing promises not only a fun run but a full day of entertainment filled with music, movies, and cowboy spirit—all in support of the Historic Turnage Theatre's preservation.

Whether you're a dedicated runner, a casual walker, or simply here to soak in the atmosphere, this event beautifully blends fitness with community charm. Let's honor the legendary American singing cowboy, Roy Rogers, who once graced the Historic Turnage Theatre with his presence and his horse, Trigger.

🏃‍♂️ Event Details:
5K Ramble Run / Walk

• Take a scenic route through downtown Washington and along the breathtaking Pamlico River boardwalk.
• Strollers and walkers are warmly welcomed, and well-behaved dogs can join in the run (dogs are not allowed inside the theatre).
• Start Time: 5:00 PM
• Registration: Opens at 10:00 AM at The Turnage Theatre and at 3:30 PM in front of Pitt Street Brewing Company (307 W. Main Street, Washington, NC).

🎶 A Full Day of Western Fun
Morning & Afternoon at the Turnage:

• Traditional music jam in the Turnage Gallery
• Cowboy trick demos and hands-on sessions
• Cowboy hat decorating
• Old-time cowboy selfie stations
• Western films on the big screen
• Vaudeville-style theatre tours (sign-up required)

🎤 Evening Concert
At 6:30 PM, enjoy a live country music performance by Michael Schott & Band at the Historic Turnage Theatre, featuring:

• Awards for Best Cowboy/Cowgirl Outfit
• Exciting theatre ticket giveaways

🤠 Dress Code: Cowboy and cowgirl attire encouraged!

💲 Registration Pricing:

• $35 – Ages 19+
• $25 – Ages 18 & under
• $30 – Virtual registration available!
• $5 discount for Arts of the Pamlico members!
• All registrants will receive a stylish bandana.

📦 Packet Pick-Up:
Historic Turnage Theatre, 150 W. Main St., Washington, NC

• April 1–3 & April 8–10 (Wed–Fri): 11 AM – 4 PM
• Event Day (April 11): 10 AM – 2:30 PM at the Turnage Theatre and 3:30 – 5 PM at the race start area.

• All ages are welcome!
• Strollers and walkers allowed
• Dogs are permitted only during the run
• Parking is available throughout downtown Washington
• This is a rain or shine event—no refunds!
