Declaration Day | Arbroath Abbey

Join ScotlandShop and the Friends of Arbroath Abbey for an inspiring celebration on 6 April at the historic Arbroath Abbey! 🏰 This event commemorates the historic Declaration of Arbroath from 1320, marking Scotland’s appeal for international recognition.

The festivities commence at 09:00 with free entry to the Abbey and Museum for all visitors! At 13:00, gather at the Abbey for a briefing before the parade kicks off at 13:20. Led by spectacular pipe bands, the procession will echo the original journey of the Declaration down the High Street to the harbour. 🎶🎺

From 14:00, head to Beacon Green and the Signal Tower for continued celebrations featuring stalls, live music, and diverse entertainment. It's a perfect chance for families, locals, and visitors to immerse themselves in Scotland’s rich heritage.
