Immerse yourself in a profound musical experience at the Easter Concert by the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra! This special event pays tribute to the spiritually rich compositions of the legendary Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The highlight of the evening will be the Requiem in D minor, K. 626, Mozart's final masterpiece, left incomplete at his passing in 1791, and completed by his pupil Franz Xaver Süssmayr. This iconic work remains one of the most cherished sacred compositions in the classical repertoire.
In addition to the Requiem, the program will feature Laudate Dominum from the Vesperae solennes, composed for Salzburg Cathedral in 1780. Its simple, cantabile melody beautifully contrasts with the dramatic nature of the Requiem.
