Casper Wikström, born in 2001, will be concluding his master's studies in church music with a focus on solo organ playing at the Royal College of Music. This special recital will take place from the grand organ gallery of Katarina Church, featuring a captivating program of Swedish and French organ music.

Maurice Duruflé (1902–1986) - Suite, op. 5
Program Commentary:
Waldemar Åhlén served as the organist at St. Jacob's Church in Stockholm for many years, and is renowned for his melody to the hymn “En vänlig grönskas vita dräkt.” His Allegro Festivo showcases a festive rondo theme. Otto Olsson, who spent nearly 50 years at Gustaf Vasa Church as organist, presents Sestetto, an intricate etude for the organ.
Casper's original piece, Fantaisie Héroïque, draws inspiration from French organ traditions, marked by dynamic contrasts and rich textures.
Lastly, Maurice Duruflé’s Suite, op. 5, consists of three beautifully crafted movements highlighting the emotional depth and character of organ music.
