About the Speaker:

Michael D. Dwyer teaches Media and Communication at Arcadia, focusing on media studies and cultural critiques. He’s currently working on a manuscript titled Tinsel and Rust: Hollywood Film and Postindustrial America, discussing how film has influenced the perception of cities like Pittsburgh and Detroit. Dwyer also authored Back to the Fifties, exploring the representation of nostalgia in pop culture. 📝
