The Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade

Mark your calendars! 📆 Louisville’s most vibrant Easter Parade is making its return to The Avenue on 10 april 11:30! Join us for a delightful day filled with candy, color, and community fun in the historic Crescent Hill and Clifton neighborhoods. This free, family-friendly event invites everyone to don their bunny ears and dance into spring! 🐣🐰🌷

This year's Grand Marshal, Chris Hartman, Executive Director of the Fairness Campaign, will officially kick off the festivities at 11:30 a.m. in front of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church (2822 Frankfort Avenue). From this point, hundreds of participants will parade down Frankfort Avenue, concluding at the corner of Frankfort Avenue and Pope Street.

Known as Louisville’s most unique Easter celebration, the parade features exciting activities including candy-throwing fun, homemade floats, fencers, a magician, dance groups, antique cars and trucks, and an energetic mix of local organizations. Our participants include the Classic Volkswagen Club of Louisville, Mexico Lindo, the Louisville League of Mascots, River City Turners Gymnastics, and many more — all led by the egg-citing VIP guest: the Easter Bunny!

This isn’t just a parade to watch; it’s a chance for you to participate! Families, friends, and even pets are encouraged to dress up, decorate wagons, bicycles, and vehicles, and showcase their spring spirit. Judges will award coveted “Good Ears” prizes to the most creative entries, so let your imagination shine!

For over 30 years, the Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade has been a beloved community tradition, made possible by the generous support of the Frankfort Avenue Business Association, Clifton Community Council, Crescent Hill Community Council, and Metro Council District 9.
