Greater Goldsboro Road Run - Run for a Child

Join us for one of North Carolina's most cherished running events—the 47th Annual Greater Goldsboro Road Run! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ This long-standing tradition, which has taken place yearly since 1979 (except for 2020 due to the pandemic), features a thrilling run or walk along a USATF certified course adorned with beautiful azaleas and dogwoods.

🌼 Event Highlights:

• Location: Starting at The Hub, at the intersection of Center and Chestnut Streets, downtown Goldsboro, NC.
• Start Time: All races begin at 9:00 AM.
• Distances Available:
  • 10K Run
  • 5K Run/Walk
  • 1-Mile Fun Run (open to all ages)

Registration Details:

• Entry Fees:
  • 5K Walk/Run & 10K Run: $30.00 for pre-registration, $40.00 on race day.
  • 1-Mile Fun Run: $20.00 for pre-registration, $15.00 each for families registering two or more participants.
• Registration Locations:
  • Pre-registration: At The Hub, 200 S. Center St.
  • Deadline: Online pre-registration ends March 25, 2026, at 11:00 PM.
  • Race Day Registration Pickup: Starts at 7:00 AM on March 28, 2026.

🏆 Awards:

• Trophies for 1st place (Male & Female) in 5K and 10K divisions.
• Medallions for 2nd and 3rd place, and for top finishers in each age group.
• All participants of the 1-Mile Fun Run receive a medal!

Timing:

• Electronic bib timing provided by Run the East LLC.

🎽 Shirts: Race t-shirts are provided for all pre-registered participants in various sizes.
