Hailing from Des Moines, IA—often recognized as the ninth best place to live—this band unleashes a frenetic blend of garage-punk that’s sure to leave you breathless! 🎶 With a unique chemistry formed by Greg Wheeler, Jill McLain-Meister, and friendly barber Hutch, they capture the essence of punk rock. As music writer Evan Minsker notes, “Wheeler’s scream-growl is invigorating, turning strong hooks into a barrage of punk energy.”

Their latest full-length album, “Slimephone Surveillance,” is out now on High Dive Records, showcasing a chaotic yet emotional collection of 10 explosive tracks. 🌪️
Influenced by legends like The Wipers and infused with current garage sounds from Thee Oh Sees, they embody a fresh and dynamic spirit in the Midwest scene.

Mr. Softheart

Now introducing Mr. Softheart—this Des Moines quartet blends post-punk, 80s synth-pop, and dance music, crafting a captivating atmosphere. Their powerful frontman, Nick Fisher, along with the creative contributions from John Fisher, Charlie Patterson, and Halen Becker, delivers a genre-defying live experience! 🎤
Their debut album, “Magdalene in Crisis,” launched in December 2023, followed by the EP “Songs for Subdued Space” in July 2024, marks them as a musical force to be reckoned with.
