🎶 Hater is coming to Kollektivet Livet on 23 maj 2026! 🎶
After a three-year hiatus, the Swedish indie pop band Hater is back with their album Mosquito, which features eleven tracks delving into self-reflection and emotional turmoil. Set to be released on 6 mars via Fire Records, the album combines the band's signature indie pop and shoegaze with more direct and polished pop soundscapes.
Lead singer Caroline Landahl describes the album as a journey through the rollercoaster of heartbreak. In tracks like "Angel Cupid", she captures the frustration of love's absence and the soullessness that can accompany even the best love songs. The standout single "This Guy?" presents a deliberately confusing tale of a peculiar stranger, while "Stinger" plunges into a gothic realm where vampires and heartbreak create a tempest of emotions. The opening track, "Landslide", encapsulates that dreamy, vulnerable state that descends in the middle of the night when the past floods over you.
Mosquito is an album brimming with half-forgotten sorrows, broken promises, yet filled with hope for the future. It was recorded in AGM Studios in Vollsjö and completed in Studio Sickan in collaboration with producer Joakim Lindberg, who has recorded all the band's albums.
