The Hillbilly Moon Explosion, a unique blend of rockabilly and psychobilly sounds, first formed back in 1998 in Zurich, Switzerland. Fronted by the captivating Emanuela Hutter and bassist/vocalist Oliver Baroni, their music is rich with retro vibes and eclectic influences spanning rockabilly, surf, blues, punk, lounge pop, country, and even ska!
They first made waves with Introducing the Hillbilly Moon Explosion in 2002, charted new creative territory with Buy Beg or Steal in 2011, and collaborated with Mark "Sparky" Phillips on The Sparky Sessions in 2019.
