Improv - theatre group

🌟 Welcome to our weekly improv club designed for amateurs! No prior experience in theatre or improvisation is essential—just a readiness to have fun and explore something new!

Our sessions focus on introducing and applying fundamental improv techniques, skills, and principles through engaging short exercises. For those interested, you can even work toward a small performance for a live audience in late spring! However, participation is just as valuable without the intent to perform.

📝 Commitment:
Join us for the first four sessions to meet fellow participants and get comfortable with the techniques without any obligation. Starting from week 16, the group will become closed to encourage focused collaboration and deeper development of the skills we’ve learned together.

Participants will also have the chance to take turns directing the group and undertake smaller responsibilities as they build their confidence.

📍 Location:
Tuesdays from 18:00 to 20:00 at the MIITTI office, Lapinlahden Lähde,
Lapinlahdenpolku 1, 00180 Helsinki.

🌟 About the Facilitator:
Iska Knuuttila has been part of the Jyväskylä-based Impropaatti group from 2020 to 2024, where he led several training sessions and performed across two seasons. His experience includes both short techniques and long plays.
