Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Spring Jazz Festival featuring the dynamic Dutch band Waan at the brand new Metropolka club in Bratislava! 🌟
Waan masterfully fuses electronic and acoustic sounds, creating a vibrant atmosphere that oscillates between dance floor energy and jazz improvisation. Collaborating with renowned producer Oscar de Jong from Kraak & Smaak, their latest releases, including Echo Echo and We Want WAAN, are showcased under Berlin's esteemed nu-jazz label, Sonar Kollektiv. 🎧
This talented quartet, led by the incredible saxophonist Bart Wirtz and keyboardist Emiel van Rijthoven, is joined by bassist Matteo Mazzú and drummer Mark Schilders. Together, they deliver a raw and adventurous soundscape, merging groove-based electronics with atmospheric melodies and boundless improvisation. 🎵
Witness their first performance in Bratislava as part of this exciting Spring Jazz Days lineup! Notably, the festival will also feature star bassist Mohini Dey on May 9 and kick off with singer Michael May on May 6 at the E11VEN concert hall. 📅
