This talented band, founded by Nick Hemming, has garnered acclaim for their exceptional songwriting, earning two Ivor-Novello nominations and making it to Rough Trade's Albums of the Year. Nick, who grew up in Burton-on-Trent, started his musical journey with the indie band She Talks To Angels, alongside director Shane Meadows and actor Paddy Considine.
After collaborating with local favorites like The Telescopes, and with the support of Christian Hardy, The Leisure Society flourished, notably with the single 'The Last Of The Melting Snow' which received support from Dermot O’Leary and Guy Garvey.
They have since shared the stage with icons like Ray Davies, Brian Eno, and Laura Marling.
🎧 Fans of: Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes, I Am Kloot, and Department of Eagles will surely appreciate their sound!
