About the Event

Set against a monumental life-size installation by Swiss-based visual artists Encor Studios, Modalities of Me takes the audience on a journey through the complexities of modern love. This ballet explores how digital spaces, club culture, curated identities, and contemporary social structures shape and distort our experiences of intimacy. It delves into the fragility of desire, examining how it is performed, commodified, and consumed in today's world. The performance is complemented by an exhibition featuring contributions from various artists, expanding on the visual themes presented on stage.

The Performances

Tess Voelker, a talented Berlin-based dancer and choreographer, has curated a stunning solo work for this event. With an impressive background that includes Ballett Dortmund, NDT 2, and NDT, she brings her expertise to this innovative performance.

Ballet Sur_real, the official ensemble of DANCÆ, artfully merges classical ballet with electronic music, creating immersive installations and embracing modern technologies in its choreography. Their works examine contemporary life and the deeper psychological motives behind human behavior.
