About the Event:
Join us for a transformative evening as the Negaunee Music Institute at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra partners with Purpose Over Pain to celebrate eight impactful years of the Notes for Peace program. This initiative empowers families affected by gun violence in Chicago to create, record, and perform their heartfelt tributes through original music.

Featuring Civic Orchestra of Chicago Fellows, families from Purpose Over Pain, and renowned guest artists from the U.K.-based Irene Taylor Trust, including the illustrious Joyce DiDonato, this concert showcases the life-affirming essence of music. 🎤❤️

With guidance from talented teaching artists and professional vocalists, families can create and perform live music that resonates deeply, with their works showcased on notesforpeace.org.
