Join us for an unforgettable overnight ghost hunt at one of Scotland's most notorious Victorian prisons! This chilling event takes place in the Old Town Jail, which opened its doors in 1847 following the closure of Stirling's infamous Tolbooth Gaol, known as The Worst Jail in Britain.

This unique 18th Century site is rarely investigated, making it the perfect setting for our night of exploration.

Life within these walls was harsh and isolating for the inmates, who endured brutal punishments. Some were forced to work the “crank machine,” an endless task of lifting and dropping sand, while others faced solitary confinement in the “dark room,” a tiny chamber with only a small light source high above.

By 1888, the jail was transformed into Military Detention Barracks for the Scottish Regiment until its decommissioning by the War Office in 1935. After falling into disrepair in the mid-20th century, restoration efforts began in the 1990s to revive this historic location.
